It's been a long time that I've actually sobbed for a fictional character in a book. My heart broke for Kellan. I was angry with Kiera throughout much of the story. Even though I could kind of understand the why's and how's of feelings and hurt inflicted on one another, and after Kellan revealed some of his deepest fears and hurts, I was so angry with Kiera and what she put him through. There's not a doubt in my mind that they deeply and madly love one another. Starting the next book immediately to see where Stephens takes these two lovers.
I loved the book.
Oh yeah, and I loved Kellan. Such a haunted soul. Kiera needs to "snap out of it" -- I got really miffed with her and her indecisiveness. Hoping she comes around in the second book, Effortless.
