This is book 2 in the River Bend series and it’s Tony and Nicole’s story.
Tony works as a foreman for a local construction company. He’s also a single dad with sole custody of his daughter, and he’s struggling to balance work and fatherhood. When his baby-sitter suffers a heart attack and can no longer care for baby Brianna, he finds himself in dire need of a replacement.
Nicole has come to River Bend to clear out her grandma’s home and to settle her estate. She had a terrible marriage and, six years post-divorce, she decides to leave Denver and make a fresh start. She left Denver (by way of River Bend) to go to Chicago where a new nursing job awaits her. Having spent most of her savings on the move, Nicole finds herself in desperate need of way to make some cash to get by until she starts drawing a steady paycheck. She wasn’t prepared for what or who awaited her when she answered Tony’s ad for a baby-sitter.
Let me just add here that Tony’s relationship with his daughter is incredibly sweet, giving you one more reason to love him.
This is a great story and the chemistry between Tony and Nicole is so filled with sexual tension, it’s hard to put the book down. You may want to have a box of tissues handy as well. Just sayin’…
I love Molly’s books. If you’ve never read any of her books, this is a great stand-alone novel to get you started. If you have read Molly’s books before, then you already know you have something to look forward to.
I recommend this book for the over-18 reader.
